Pathology and Oncology of Soft Tissue and Bone Tumors

About this Special Issue

Submission deadlines

  1. Manuscript Submission Deadline 31 December 2024

Background

Soft tissue and bone tumors are relatively rare but can represent significant diagnostic challenges in everyday practice. In recent years, the new developments in molecular diagnostic techniques have facilitated the establishment of more precise diagnostic techniques that can provide oncologists with better prognostic stratification and allow the introduction of more sophisticated and targeted therapies. The prognosis of different soft tissue and bone tumors is partly related to their location and some tumor types show a predilection to different organ systems. The aim of this specific issue is to present recent advances in pathology and oncology of soft tissue and bone tumors focusing on organ-specific tumors as follows:
• head and neck
• gynecological tract
• gastrointestinal
• urological
• cavities (chest, abdomen including retroperitoneum)
• extremities
• bone tumors

This Special Issue welcomes contributions that improve our understanding of the diagnosis and oncology treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors. Potential areas of interest may include, but are not limited to:
• Histopathological diagnosis and recent diagnostic immunohistochemical tests for soft tissue tumors.
• Histopathological diagnosis and recent diagnostic immunohistochemical tests for bone tumors.
• Advances in soft tissue tumor treatment.
• Advances in bone tumor treatment.

Even though abstract submission is not mandatory, we encourage all interested researchers to submit an abstract before submitting their manuscript. Abstracts do not have to coincide with the final abstract of the manuscripts. For authors, please review the journal's information regarding Author Guidelines and Article Processing Charges, or direct any questions to the Editorial Office: por@por-journal.com.
